Protection of personal data

I. PREAMBLE

The BUREL GROUP respects the privacy of its users and customers and undertakes that all the information it collects, enabling it to identify them, are considered to be confidential information.

II. PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy on data use is to describe clearly and transparently the way in which the BUREL GROUP, as responsible for processing, treats data of a personal nature.

It applies to all processing operations on personal data carried out by the BUREL GROUP.

Any information which may directly or indirectly designates a natural person constitutes personal data: a name, first name, e-mail address, identifier, IP address, registration plate, etc.

The BUREL GROUP undertakes that this policy, as well as the way in which users’ data are processed in practice, complies with the Data Protection Act, similarly to the General Regulations on Data Protection (or GRDP).

III. COLLECTION AND USE OF THE DATA

Each data collection form on the BUREL GROUP’s sites limits the collection of data to what is strictly required for the proposed services.

However, the BUREL GROUP may collect additional data if the user decides to fill in the fields left free at his/her disposal on the site .

It is mandatory that certain data be entered, so that the user can access the proposed services.

The BUREL GROUP collects data for various reasons and uses. You will see more details below on why and how these data are collected.

• Collection and use of data for an on-line customer account:

We use these personal data, first name, name, postal address and e-mail address, to enable us to establish an on-line account in order to provide services such as the on-line order, access to the technical documentation, machine adjustments, etc.

• Collection and use of data on our commercial partners’ customer accounts:

We use these personal data, name, address, postal address and e-mail address, to enable us to establish, develop and maintain a commercial relationship.

We process these personal data on the basis of a contract or legitimate interests in compliance with the general Regulations on Data Protection (GRDP). We retain these personal data for the time required to respond to the demand, unless we are legally obliged to retain them for longer.

We use the personal data collected to provide an appropriate response to the request for information or to provide a customer service action. We only disclose personal data if required to carry out any transaction that you have requested or authorised or to provide a product or a service.

For example, delivery of a product requires that the destination postal address be given to the carrier.

• Collection and use of data provided by our user customers:

The types of your personal data that we collect depend on the products and services you use. We collect that data you provide when you interact with us in any way whatsoever, particularly when you fill in a form on our website, when you contact us, when you take part in an on-line survey, when you give your contact details at a fair. These data include the Company’s contact details, as well as the contact person’s details, his/her position and his/her interest in our systems.

Rest assured that we will only use your data in compliance with the 1998 Data Protection Act and other applicable laws, including the General Regulations on Data Protection (GRDP) of 25 May 2018 and with any regulations applicable to confidentiality .

• Collection and use of data for letters and information magazines:

We use these personal data, first name, postal address and e-mail address to send you information documents.

IV. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to request access to your personal data, to ask to rectify or delete personal data, or to exercise one of the other data protection rights available to you. You can exercise this right by sending an e-mail to the address rgpd@sulky-burel.com.

The Customer also has the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French Data Protection Commission).

V. PROTECTION AND RETENTION PERIOD

We use technical, administrative and physical security measures designed to protect and prevent unauthorised access to the data we collect. For example, access to your personal data is limited to our employees and sub-contractors who need to access these data to carry out the tasks assigned to them.

The BUREL GROUP does not transfer any data outside the European Union.

The data are retained and used for a period complying with the laws in force.

VI. USE OF COOKIES

We use small text files generally called cookies to collect information on the performances of our websites. Personal information is not collected. The data simply enable us to monitor the functioning of our websites and the information to improve user experience.
If you do not wish us to use cookies in this way, you can refuse their use.

You can configure your browser software either so that the cooking you are proposed from time to time (before a cookie is saved) is accepted or refused, or systematically accept or refuse that cookies be saved on your terminal.

The BUREL GROUP entities use Google Analytics, an Internet site audience service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help companies analyse how its users make use of websites. Google will use this information in order to assess your use of the sites, to compile reports on the sites’ activity for the BUREL GROUP’s entities and to provide other services related to the activity and Internet use. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
